A magyarországi vágóhidakon 26,4 ezer darab szarvasmarhát vágtak le 2026 első negyedévében, 13,5 százalékkal többet, mint az előző év azonos időszakában. Sertésből 1 millió 271 ezret vágtak, 4,4 százalékkal többet (+54 ezer darab), mint 2025. január–márciusban. Baromfiból 68,5 millió darab került a vágóhidakra 2026 első negyedévében, ami 22,7 százalékkal meghaladta a bázisidőszak értékét. A levágott baromfi élősúlya összesen 213 ezer tonna, vágott súlya (tisztított, bontott súly) 160 ezer tonna volt ebben az időszakban.
In Hungarian slaughterhouses 26.4 thousand cattle were slaughtered in the first quarter of 2026, which is 13.5 per cent more than in the same period of the previous year. Additionally, 1 million 271 thousand pigs were slaughtered, representing a 4.4 per cent increase (+54 thousand head) compared to January–March 2025. In the case of poultry 68.5 million head were slaughtered in the first quarter of 2026, which is 22.7 per cent more than in the base period. The total live weight of slaughtered poultry was 213 thousand tonnes, and the carcass weight was 160 thousand tonnes during this period.
