The export value of agricultural and food industry products decreased by 1.9 per cent, while their import value increased by 2.6 per cent in the first three months of 2025, the balance was 11.5 per cent lower during the period under review compared to the value in the first quarter of 2024. The export value of agricultural and food industry products amounted to EUR 3,501 million, while the import value was EUR 2,492 million in the first quarter of 2025, the value of the agricultural foreign trade surplus was EUR 1,009 million, which is EUR 131.5 million less than in the first quarter of 2024. The export price index of agricultural and food industry products increased by 6.3 per cent, while the import price index rose by 3.7 per cent in the first three months of 2025 compared to the base period. In the first quarter of 2025, the share of agricultural and food industry products in the total export value of the national economy was 9.3 per cent, and 7.4 per cent of the import value.
