A magyarországi vágóhidakon 44,4 ezer darab szarvasmarhát vágtak le 2023 első fél évében, 8,3 százalékkal kevesebbet, mint az előző év azonos időszakában, sertésből 2 millió 184 ezret vágtak, 2,5 százalékkal kevesebbet (–55 ezer darab), mint 2022. január–júniusban. Baromfiból 105,9 millió darabot vágtak 2023 első fél évében, 6,5 százalékkal többet, mint a bázisidőszakban. A levágott baromfi élősúlya összesen 319,3 ezer tonna, vágott súlya (tisztított, bontott súly) 240,5 ezer tonna volt ebben az időszakban.
In Hungarian slaughterhouses 44.4 thousand cattle were slaughtered in the first half of 2023, which is 8.3 per cent less than in the same period of the previous year, and 2 million 184 thousand pigs were slaughtered, 2.5 per cent less (–55 thousand heads) compared to the January–June 2022. In the group of poultry 105.9 million pieces were slaughtered in the first half of 2023, 6.5 per cent more than in the base period. The total live weight of slaughtered poultry was 319,3 thousand tons and the carcass weight was 240,5 thousand tons during this period.
