Being a farmer today is not easy. In the framework of the H2020 FARMWELL project a touching short film was created about farmers and farmer families by the New Heroes creative company. The agricultural sector is worldwide rapidly changing. Thus, farmers today face many challenges – both mentally and physically. But there are also new directions and possibilities on the horizon. The short animation funded by Horizon 2020 is part of the FARMWELL, a European Thematic Network project that aims to improve farmers’ mental, physical, and social wellbeing.
The storytelling partner, New Heroes, was in charge of creating a story about farming that people don’t hear or see very often. The story about how difficult it can sometime be, physically and mentally, to be a farmer. By means of this animation they intend to contribute to bridging the gap between the farming community and the world and initiating the needed conversation together.
