The Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI), in cooperation with the AGMEMOD Consortium and supported by the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture organizes its upcoming international Outlook Conference, entitled Agricultural Market Outlook for Central and Eastern Europe - Trends in Agri-Food Markets Over the Next Decade, and Challenges and Solutions from the Perspective of Compound Feed Production.
Day 1: 15 May 2018, Tuesday, from 13:30 pm to 18:00 pm
Day 2: 16 May 2018, Wednesday, from 9:00 am to 16:00 pm
Venue: Abacus Business & Wellness Hotel**** (HU- 2053 Herceghalom, Gesztenyés út 3.; Milton Keynes ballroom)
Concept: Crop and livestock farming faces growing environmental and social challenges (i.e. from emissions mitigation to the reduction of antibiotics use) and, associated with these, increasing legislative requirements. Awareness of these challenges is often particularly low in the transition economies of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). In this event, internationally-acknowledged experts from across Europe will share their assessments of the medium-term agricultural market developments in the CEE region, focusing on the future of crop and livestock farming. In addition, professional experts will describe new and innovative solutions that are being developed by the feed industry to optimise the nutritional value of feed and thereby drive sustainability actions by farmers. The conference therefore offers unique policy support and industry insights. It will acquaint stakeholders with the legislative and market challenges posed by sustainability requirements, and will consider innovative ways to cope with these challenges to enhance competitiveness.
